Cut Flower Production Technology Of Herb Peony In Openland And Greenhouse

As one kind of traditional flowers of China, the herb peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) has prospect market potential.'Zifengyu'and' Taohuafeixue' were used as the main experimental materials. In this study, the herb peony growth-development processes were surveyed. And the growth stages of herb peony were divided into 7 periods on the base of researching the growth regularity of flower branch and flower bud.The planting time, root treatment and fertilizer application as key technologies were researched. The planting container, illumination controlling, fertilizer application method and techniques for controlling plant diseases and insect pests in greenhouse were studied systematically.The results show that,1. The growth process of cut herb peony is divided into 7 stages on the basis of researching the growth regularity of flower branch and flower bud.The map of 7growth stages for cut herb peony was made.2. The temperature rage for herb peony planting is daily average temperature 13～20℃, the highest temperature≤28℃and the lowest temperature≥7℃. The daily average temperature is≥10℃for 1 month after planting.3. The plants root treated with plant ash added water gain best results before planting when planted in greenhouse, the medicament should be added into the ash.4. The fertilizing methods test were carried out on the base of flower branch nutrition requirements, the best fertilizing method can be chosen. New fertilizing methods were set up for herb peony in greenhouse and openland.5. The different planting containers were compared. The result shows that it is good to add venting device, the thickness of ceramic, room for roots and bad to drill the lateral of containers.A special container for herb peony cut production in greenhouse was designed.6. According to the research of nutritional characteristics and N, P, K deficiency test, the diagnosis of mineral disorder in'Taohuafeixue' and'Zifengyu' were made and applied for patents.7. The results of the light and supplementary illumination experiment showed that different cultivars have different requirements on illumination. And for herb peony the best illumination time is 10-12h/d and the best illumination intensity is 400～800μmolm-2s-1. The HPSL should be on when the illumination time was shorter than 8h/d or the illumination intensity is lower than 50μmolm-2s-1.8. Control techniques for herb peony insect pest and plant diseases were made by investigating their instance occurred in open and greenhouse.Technical regulations for herb peony cut flower production in openland greenhouse were proposed.
