A Summary Of The Academic Thought Of Cai Shengchao And The Treatment Of Sports Aphasia After Stroke

Born in a family of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Professor Cai Shengchao studied the theory of TCM systematically in the Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1978. He has worked on clinical and teaching for over 40 years, he has much experienced in clinical and solid theoretical foundation of basic skills. Now he works as the director of both the third department of Geriatrics and Teaching and Research Office of Acupuncture in the second affiliated hospital of ahtcm. The nation-wide professor of TCM in China, the guide teacher of the fifth group of national old doctor of traditional Chinese medicine academic experience heir. Doctoral advisor of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.He has more experience on using acupuncture & moxibustion and traditional Chinese medicine to treat difficult and complicated illnesses, especially in the area of encephalopathy, senile diseases, gynopathy, and arthromyodynia.The first part of this thesis summarized the academic background of Professor Cai Shengchao; the second part is his academic spirits and clinical experience; the third part was the clinical research for the treatment of motor aphasia after stroke using method of "Tong Tiao Xin Shen".The first part:the academic background and the teaching experience of Professor CaiBased on the classical traditional Chinese medicine works such as Inner Canon of Huangdi, Compendium of Acupuncture, Jinzhen Meihua Shichao, Jiusheng. He is inherited and carried forward his teacher "refine and less", emphasized" yi shen zhi shen" also. He is adhered the academic thought "heat syndrome use Moxibustion" of his teacher and put forward academic point of view "jiu fa zi ran, yang sheng yin zhang". He is good at acupuncture combined with medicine and using induced drug for chronic illness, serious illness and the complexity of the disease.The second part:academic spirits and clinical experience summary of Professor CaiThe academic spirits of Professor Cai could be summarized in six aspects:valuing the Four Way with highlights in surface reactive points, regarding Yin and Yang, phenomena and essence as important things, dynamic syndrome differentiation, treating by differentiation of individual, combining internal organs differentiation and meridian differentiation. Clinical experience is mainly manifested in the usage of acupunctures the innovative of moxibustion and the application of ancient prescription.There is a unique insight into the pathogenesis and treatment of the encephalopathy, senile disease, gynecological diseases and rheumatism。The third part:the clinical research for the treatment of motor aphasia after stroke using the treatmen method of "tongtiaoxinshen"Purpose:The study objectively evaluated the clinical efficacy of aphasia after strok treated by "tongtiaoxinshen" method.Compared the difference between the combination treatment of acupuncture and acupoint adhesion with "jieyugao" and acupuncture.Method:Fifty-seven patients with motor aphasia after apoplexy was randomly divided into three groups, i.e. acupuncture group (28 patients) and the combination group (29 patients). After a course of treatment (four weeks), the language function of the groups was evaluated by the scales, and then the results were compared with each other.Results:The basic information of the patients before treatment was basically similar to each other (P<0.05). After the treatment, the effective rate of the combination group was 86.2% (25/29), better than that of acupuncture group,67.9%(19/28, P<0.05). After the treatment, basic language function of patients was much better than that before the treatment (P<0.01), and combination group was much better than the acupuncture group (P<0.01)Conclusion:The method of treatment by "tongtiaoxinshen" for motor aphasia after stroke could obviously improved the language function and life quality of patients.
