Objective: TO evaluate the clinical situation and value oflaParoscopic minimally invasive procedures used in abdominal surgery.Methods: Retrospective review of 61 l patients who underwent laparoscopoicprocedures in past three years. Results: Over 20 different laParoscopicprocedures were done in seven years. Among them 556 cases had laParoscopiccholecystectomy (LC ), l9 laParoscopic splenectomy, l1 laParoscopicovariectomy, nine laParoscopic choledochotomy and stone extrMtion, eightendoscopic sphinctCrotomy duing LC, seven laParoscopy, six laParoscopicprocedure fOr the treatment of paroesophageal hemia and gaStrOesophagealreflux disease,four laParoscopic fenestration ofhepatic cysts, four laParoscopicaPpendectomy three laParoscopic adrenalectomy, two laParoscopic assistedsurgery for resection of an intestinal turnof, two laParoscopic assisted colonsurgery (one malignancy ), and one each of laParoscopic assisted lowanterior resection fOr rectal cancef, laParoscopic resection for hepatichemangioma, laParoscopic fenestration of nephritic cyst, modifiedlaParoscopic highly selective vagotomy, laParoscopic repair of indirecthernia and laParoscopic adhesiectomy. Among LC cases 10 were convertedto open operation, th rate of convertion was l .7%. The postoperative hospitalstay was one to three days for most patienis. One patient required a secondlaParoscopic procedure fOr hemostasis, the morbility rate was 0.17%.Therewere no duct injuries and no mortality. Conclusion f LaParoscopic minimal1yinvasive procedures, especially LC, are appreciated by patients and doctorsbecause of the merit of minimal access.
