Part 1 literature study Diabetic cardiopathy is defined as a series of heart diseases secondary to diabetes or co-existing with it, including(Dcoronary heart disease (CHD); @cardiomyopathy; ardiac autonomic neuropathy. The prevalence of Cl-ID is the tiptop. As insulin and antibiotics were put into clinical practice, the mortality of the cardiovascular complications in the patients suffered from diabetes was actually up to 70-80%, which has become a major cause threatening their life. So the early prevention and treatment this disease is very important. The pathogenesis of diabetic cardiopathy are too complicated to be entirely illuminated. Although there are still dispute on if hyperglycemia can directly promote CHD, the majorities agreed that the higher prevalence of the cardiovascular complications in the patients suffered from diabetes is related to the multifactorial interaction, such as derangement in glucose and lipid metabolism; hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance(IR); complication with obesity and/or hypertension; hemodynamics abnormalities, dysfunction of non-enzymatic glycosylation; injury to vascular endothelial funtion platelet aggregation and thrombosis, descent of superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity; abnomality of myocardial metabolism; and microcirculation dysfunction. The clinical manifestations of diabetic cardiopathy usually accompanied by the principal symptoms of cardiac autonomic dysfunction besides common symptoms of CHD and cardiomyopathy. Compared with those nondiabetic cardiopath, the patients with diabetic cardiopathy have more serious and complicated conditions, more conflicts and difficulties in treatments, worse prognosis, and higher fatality rate. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), diabetic cardiopathy is clinically categorized as Xiaoke with Xinji and Zhengzhong (palpitation), Xintong (cardiac pain) and Xiongbi (obstruction of Qi in the chest). The occurrence of this disease usually results from internal injury by emotions~. improper diets invasion of pathogenic factors or aging. The main etiopathology is deficiency in origin and excess superficiality, which means the origin is Qi and Yin deficiency, and the superficiality is blood stasis in the body. In recent years, there were a large number of reports on treating diabetic cardiopathy with TCM, and gained some curative effects. To prevent and cure diabetic cardiopathy, we emphasize prevention. The foundation is to control blood sugar actively and effectively as early as possible, at the same time, to reduce other risk factors. But either drugs or operation has unavoidable side effts and limitation. Further more, neither of them have definite curative effects on diabetic vascular diseases. So it is necessary to combii~ TCM and western medicine to prevent and cure diabetic cardiopathy. 1CM has already revealed advantages in this field. Kaixin capsule is a preparation of pure herbal medicine, it had been used to treat silent myocardial ischemia (SMI) and achieved fairly good curative effects. In this research, through clinical and experimental works the curative effects and mechanism of the treatment and prevention of diabetic cardiopathy had been studied. Part 2 Experimental study To observe the combined effects of endothelin(ET), hemorheology, blood glucose, the level of insulin, cholesterol, TG, and HDL-CH on...
