[Background] with the improvement of living, Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) has become one of the common diseases to harm people' s health and cause people death. Therefore, it' s getting important and urgent to diagnose and cure in the early stage of CAD. Coronary arteriography (CAG) is the golden standard method to the final diagnosis of CAD, however its application is limited in clinic for its disadvantages, such as, trauma, high-teach requirement of instruments, and so on. People has been seeking for a novel way with non-invasion, better reproducibility, easy poeration, and a good correlation between examination and CAD. High frequency vascular ultrasonic imaging is one of the obest way in the diagnosis of CAD. In observing microarchitecture of vascular, its advantage is incomparable. Artherosclerosis(AS) of carotid artery(CA) and femoral artery(FA) is one of characteristic appearances of artherosclerosis all over the body, which has the same ground of physiology and pathology with CAD. Nowadays, carotid intimal-medial thickness (IMT) and plaque is often used to study artherosclerosis. But FA which tissue structure is mainly composed of smooth muscle and its relationship withCAD were seldom paid close attention. High-frequency ultrasound was used in our study to detect flow梞ediated vasodilation (FMD) of brachial artery to evaluate diastolic function of vascular endodermis (EDD) . The measurement of IMT and atheromatous plaque of carotid artery and femoral artery was used to evaluate correlation between artery anatomic structure and CAD. The analysis of IMT and Integrated backscatter (IBS) of atheromatous plaque was used to evaluate its pathology changes. The objective was to reveal the correlation of peripheral artery AS and CAD . The changes of morphology and function of peripheral artery were studied to provide evidence to detect and follow up the change of these before and after medicated with statins and evaluate the clinical practice of this new-tech vascular ultrasound.Part IThe detection of abnormalities of IMT and diastol ic function of vascular endodermis of early AS in rabbits by high-frequency ultrasonic imagingObjective : To explore criteria of ultrasound parameter of early AS in rabbits using high-frequency ultrasound. Methods: 17 New-Zealand albino rabbits were divided randomly into normal control group eluding 5 and AS group 12. Control group were fed normally , AS group were fed with high cholesterol diet. Abdominal aortic dimension, Vmax and the IMT of abdominal aortic posterior wall and the EDD of arteria iliaca were measured at the baseline, and 1W, 4W, 8W and 17W after feeding by high frequency ultrasound. Results: In AS group, EDD decreased after the first week high fat diet and become more serious gradually till the end. After 4W high fat diet, Vmax increased (P0.05) . In control group, abdominal aortic dimension, Vmax and the IMTof abdominal aortic posterior wall and the EDD of arteriailiaca had no significant changes ( P>0.05 ) afteradministration. Conclusions: EDD and Abdominal aortic Vmax and IMT can besensitive parameters to diagnose in AS early stage.Part IIStudy on intima-media thickness of the carotid .femoral arter i es and endothelium-dependent dilation of the brachial artery in normal subjectsObjective: The aim of this study was to access IMT ofcarotid , FA and EDD of brachial artery in normal subjectsusing high-frequency ultrasnography. Methods: IMT of the CA and FA and EDD of 120 normal subjectsin different age were measured by high resolutionultrasound. Results: IMT in the carotid and femoral arteries was (0. 59+0.12) mm, (0. 63+0. 15) mm respectively, and upper limitwas 0.83mm ,0.93mm respectively. EDD was (16.16 + 5.63)%.When the subjects were divided into age <50Years group andage >0years group, value of u...
