Objective: To explore the mechanism of Acetabular Tridimentional Memoryalloy - Fixation System (ATMS) promoting fracture healing.Methods: experimental acetabular fracture modle in hybrid dogs were used to compare the effect of ATMS on fracture healing with that of reconstitution plate (RP). The vitodynamics stability and the quality of fracture healing were examined biomechanically. Histology and ultrastructure of the cell in the fracture-site were observed dynamically by using light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy to reveal the characteristic of fracture healing under continue stress.The fluorescent quantitation PCR technique was used to analyze the express of TGF-β2 and BMP-7 in the fracture-site .Results: After 4 week the strength of healing in ATMS group exceed RP group . Under TEM most cells in ATMS group grow along the same direction with stress, and so do the collagen fiber. TGF-β2 and BMP-7 in ATMS group exceed that in RP. Conclusion: Fixed by ATMS, fractures achieve healing at a faster rate and with a better suitablity, Under the sustained dynamic memory compressive stress produced by ATMS,we got a new model of fracture healing.
