Object: To reveal the mechanism of neuroprotective effects of moxibustion preconditioning, break fresh ground for cerebrovas -cular disease.Measure: 78 rats were divided into five groups randomly in the experiment: normal control group, sham-operation group, ischemic group, ischemic preconditioning group, moxibustion preconditioning group. HE staining to observe change of histomorphology. electron microscope to observe ultrastructure, TUNEL method to observe apoptosis state, immunohistochemistry and ISH technique to detect Bcl-2 Bax HSPmRNA and protein expression, xanthine oxidase method to detect the active of SOD, Thibabituric Acid to dect the amount of MDA, wet-dry comparison to detect moisture content.Result: (1) Moxibustion preconditioning can decrease cell apoptosis as ischemic preconditioning which showed remarkable difference compared with ischemic group. (2)Bcl-2 HSPmRNA and protein expression increase significantly after moxibustion preconditioning. The peak appeared ahead of time which was remarkable difference compared with ischemic group. (3)BaxmRNA and protein expression showed no remarkable difference compared with ischemic group.(4)The active of SOD increase significantly, especially 24h after moxibustion preconditioning. The amount of MDA decrease significantly which showed remarkable difference compared with ischemic group. (5)Moisture content of brain tissue is decreased after moxibustion preconditioning which showed remarkable difference compared with ischemic group. Conclusion: (1)Moxibustion preconditioning cam delay or abolish the further advance of ischemic stroke and increase the...
