Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of intracoronary stent placement on the level of serum plasma endothelin-1 (ET-1) in coronary sinus and the expression of endothelin receptors protein in patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA). And to investigate mechanism of in-stent restenosis after intracoronary stent placement. Furthermore, the aim of the study was to identify the relationship between plasma endothelin-1 and coronary slow flow phenomena and to investigate mechanism of coronary slow flow phenomena. Methods:In forty-two patients with coronary heart disease, twenty-six patients received drug eluting stent(DES) placement, and 16 patients received bare metal stent(BMS) placement as controls.
