Endothelium-derived contracting substance (EDCF and A â…¡ etc.) and relaxing substance (PGI2 and EDRF etc. ) remain interactive and keep dynamic equilibrium in normal. Vasomotion of visceral vessel may directly influence the blood pressure variation, but reports concerning the endothelium-derived factors changed in mesenteric artery during hypertension were lacking. These changes may play an important role in hypertension.
