Epilepsy is a disease characterized by recurrent attacks of temporary CNS function aberration,due to paradoxical discharges of neurons. It is one of the commonest diseases of CNS with the incidence of 0.5%~2%. Chinese traditional medicine regards it as epileptic syndrome related to psychological aperture clothed by expectoration, resulting from functional disorders of liver, spleen and kidney. It is also regarded as a clinical manifestation of many diseases.The acupoint is an important treatment for epilepsy in abundant therapy theories and clinical experiences in our traditional medicine. Up till now, numerous hakims have received it for treating epilepsy, especially satisfied with the effect of controlling the disease.
