Background and purposeLower extremity arterial occlusive disease results in a higher morbidity in our nation than in the past, which affects the life quality of the patients. Medical imaging examnation is helpful in the conform of uncertainty diagnosis and establishment of therapy plan, the follow up after treatment. With the advent of multi-slice spiral computed tomography, faster scan speed, higher temporal and spatial resolution, increased volume coverage became available. We explore the clinical value of multi-slice spiral computed tomography for the assessment of lower extremity arterial occlusive disease from the following aspect: (1) To determine the feasibility and diagnostic accuracy of 16-slice spiral computed tomography for the assessment of abdominal aortic and lower extremity arterial occlusive disease. (2 ) To compare the visibility of lower extremity arterial occlusive disease by different slice thickness reconstruction on 64-slice spiral CT angiography. ( 3 ) To compare the visibility of lower extremity arterial occlusive disease by 16-slice spiral computed tomography and 64-slice spiral computed tomography . (4) To explore the feasibility of caredose 4D technique of 64-slice spiral computed tomography in the evaluation of patients with lower extremity arterial occlusive disease.Material and Methods1. 50 patients with suspected peripheral arterial occlusive disease underwent 16-slice spiral CT angiography of the abdominal aorta and lower extremity arteries. 50 patients were divided into two groups according to the delay time after the...
