The Experimental And Clincal Researches On The New Magnetic Adhesive Root Canal Filling Material

The new magnetic adhesive root canal filling material (NMA) is a kind of improved magnetic adhesive root canal filling material (MA), and has overcome some shortcomings of the original MA, such as lower mobility and higher surface tensileness. Both the adhesive liquid and the magnetic powder of the MA have been modified in the NMA. In order to detect the properties of the NMA, the author carried out a series of the researches of the laboratory observations., animal experiments and clinical application. The main results are as follows:1. The NMA is magnetic adhesive root canal filling material composed of ethyl-cyanoacrylate adhesive liquid to which superfine phosphate carbonyl iron powder (φ2.5 - 3um) was added, and possesses the properties of a good mobility, fast cure, and without bubbles when used. Its cure contraction rate is Iow, between 0.84% - 5.51% . It did not react chemically when the adhesive liquid confused with magnetic powder through the test by a infra-red spectrometer. The NMA was proved of a stable chemical property.
