ObjectiveWound healing is one of the most important questions in medicine. To be a special organ, skin is the first barrier of humanbody to the outside. Its effect on wound healing is significant. With the development of tissue engineering, stem cell technology could provide new means to wound healing. There are two categories: adult and embryonic stem cells. The research in embryonic stem cell is restricted by its limited source and ethical issues, so research on adult stem cells attracts more attentions. It has been demonstrated that bone marrow stromal cells (MSCs) have multiple potentiality to differentiate into bone, cartilage, adipose, muscle, tendon, myocardium, liver, nerve and kidney cells. MSCs are easy to obtain, separate, expand and transfect in vitro and have weak immune rejection, MSCs are safe and without ethical controversy, so MSCs become a seed cell in stem cell implant and gene therapy, and hold great promise in future therapeutic application in clinical wound healing.Adult skin wound healing is related to the developmental stage. NYD-SP24 is a developmental correlated gene,It plays a key role not only...
