Objectives1.To prepare an experimental rhesus monkey model of tibia diaphyseal defect used in tissue engineering. Providing a standard animal model of experiment gave the next study.2.To assess the diagnostic value and method of perfusion weighted MR imaging technique in the monitoring vascularization of tissue engineered bone. Suppling a dependable monitoring method for science research and clinical applications of bone tissue engineering.3.Comparing the characteristics of X-ray, emission computerized tomography and perfusion weighted MR found the advantages of perfusion weighted MR.4.To study the relations between perfusion weighted MR and histology. Examining the credibility of perfusion weighted MR in the monitoring vascularization of tissue engineered bone. Methods1. Twelve rhesus monkeys were randomly divided into the medial plate group (Group M) and the lateral plate group (Group L). A tibial diaphyseal defect of 20mm was made in every monkey and fixed with an AO reconstruction plate of 7 holes. The self-repair of bone defect was evaluated by radiography, ECT (emission...
