A serial studies of gunshot wound by the spherical projectile have been undertaken since years ago, let us know a lot about high velocity project wound in maxillofacial region. But there are some different between the wounds caused by spherical projectile and military bullet. So it is necessary to establish a new model to study the wounds made by military bullet in maxillofacial region. The regulation of tissue wound and repair is a complicated process especially in gunshot wounds which are more serious and broader than usual in local tissue. Nitric oxide ( NO) is a newly noticed pluripotential molecule that acts as both an autocrine and paracrine mediator of homoeostasis and a double- edged factor involving in regulation of many physiological and pathophysiological processes. The purpose of this study is to make sure if there is L- arginine/NO pathway—the unique pathway of NO production in local wounded tissue and to discuss the role of...
