The purpose of these studies was to investigate the correlation between periodontal ligament (PDL) cell and BMP. To identify that whether or not the PDL tissue contained the target cells of BMP(bone morphogenetic protein) and whether or not biochemical characterization of PDL cells could be altered to bone-like phenotype under BMP inducement.
