Part One : The Study of Pathological Basis on the Rat Model Following experimental Subarachnoid Hemorrhage and Therapeutic Effects of Nimodipine andHuoxuehuayu with Chinese Traditional Herbs Background ami Purpose:Cerebral vasospasm(CVS) is an important cause of cerebral ischemia and death following aneurysmal and traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH). The present study is to investigate the pathogenesis of CVS and the secondary cerebral lesions after experimental SAH on the rat model. Methods and Materials:The SAH model was induced with autologous blood injected into the cisternamagna.Morphological observation: rat brain specimens were stained with HE, Nissel bodies, myelin, elastin fiber and the silver-binding nucleolar organizer regions(AgNORs).
