MF was a compound which structure was similar as the new drug Fasudil. In this paper, the protective effects of MF on cerebral vasospasm and cerebral ischemia were investigated. The effects of MF on the constriction of isolated basilar artery(BA) and thoracic aorta(TA) evoked by NA or KCl were observed. The results indicated that MF had obviously inhibition effects on the constriction of BA and TA, furthermore, the value of IC50 of inhibiting BA evoked by NA or KCl was far smaller than that of inhibiting TA evoked by NA or KCl, which suggested that MF could selectively relax cerebral vessels. The constriction of pial microvessels evoked by CaCl2 were inhibited and blood flow status were improved, and the rate of blood discontinuanc were decreased in cat which were intravenous drip with MF(4.5mg·kg-1). The total blood viscosity(ηb)(shear rate:1,5,30 S-1) and erythroagglutation index(AL) were decreased significantly following MF treatment (3.6,10.8 mg·kg-1),and the microvesse area (MVA) , microvesse density(MVD) in the CA1 region of hippocampusa were decreased obviously with MF(10.8mg·kg-1). These observations indicated that the effect of MF on improving cerebral microcirculation of might be by the way of increasing the number and caliber of cerebral microvessel and improving blood rheological characters.MF at the dose of 0.36,1.08mg·kg-1 were remarkble in increasing cerebral blood flow and reducing vascular resistance with little influence on BP ,heart rate. The result implied that MF had the protection effect on cerebral ischemia by increasing cerebral blood flow and reducing vascular resistance. The survival time of rat in the condition of hypoxic hypoxia were obviously prolonged, and the contents of Lactate(LA) were significantly raisedand ,while the levele of ATP were remarkblely declined in decapitated mice after intravenous injection of MF(3.6 ,...
