Objective: To examine changes in expression profiling of serum protein in type 2 diabetes patients with peripheral neuropathy as compared to type 2 diabetes patients without peripheral neuropathy and to healthy controls. Methods: The experimental methods for DPN serum protein fingerprint was verified stable and reliable. diagnostic pattern of DPN established by IMAC-Cu chip serum Protein chip fingerprint mass spectrum combining artificial neural networks and decision tree method is an effective method for early detection for DPN. The data of chip fingerprints in one-year follow-up for DM and DPN found different expressed proteins that brought up the new potential factors for etiological therapy and DPN high-risk groups filtration. Further follow-up detection and sample size expanding will help us verify the result of this experiment...
