The Research On TCM Prescription Calculation Theory And An Animal Test Verification

Research on TCM prescription calculation method is one of the key issues inmodernization of TCM. But from the beginning of the TCM prescription history,people did not attach much importance to the calculation method of theprescriptions. And this problem has not been resolved until now. This thesis wassettled to try to resolve some of these problems.Combined the ideas of the modern engineering and the TCM basic theory, anew theory (hypothesis) for calculating the composing of TCM prescriptions hasbeen developed. In this paper, the theory was described in detail, and an animal testwas carried out to prove an item of the hypothesis. Otherwise, this theory was usedto analysis some typical prescriptions of TCM. Results of these researchessuggested:1. Given some basic hypotheses, the TCM prescriptions can be computed oranalyzed in digital forms. The calculated outcomes of some of the TCMprescriptions have suggested that the new theory is useful and efficient.2. The results of the animal test proved that the hypothesis is reasonable in somedegree—one item of the new theory (hypothesis) had been proved right by theanimal test. The item presumes that there are quantity relationships in thepowers of the same kind of Chinese herbs.3. Using the new theory, several typical TCM prescriptions were calculated andanalyzed. And the analyzed results demonstrate that the methods are efficientand give a good help to understand the composing ways of the TCMprescriptions.Obviously, the theory given in this thesis having used some different methodscompared to some popular theories in the Chinese and other countries.
