Since Meet The National Crisis,1932, the Anti-Japanese theme has become one of thethemes of movie and TV workers in abnormal preference. In this dissertation, theauthor has carried on the examination to over80years’ development of Anti Japaneseplays from the time environment, national consciousness and psychology.In Chapter I, divided into four periods, the uniquenesses of production in choice oftheme, narrative and characterization have been separately described to outline thetrack of development of anti-Japanese movies and TV series. In Chapter II, the authorhas explored how the national consciousness showed in the anti-Japanese movies andTV series, concentrated from two aspects of perceptual and rational. In Chapter III,the relationship between the anti-Japanese movies/TV series and Chinese socialpsychology in different periods has been discussed. And in Chapter IV, the author hasdeeply discussed how the anti-Japanese movies and TV series related to the nationalpsychological state and developing trend.Accordingly, the conclusions come out as following: The Chinese nationalconsciousness,national psychology and era psychology in specific time background isone of the important factors affecting the creation of anti-Japanese movies and TVseries. And together with other political,economic and cultural factors, it determinesthe developing trend of anti-Japanese movies and TV series.The anti-Japanese moviesand TV series are the real reflection of spiritual characteristics of nation and timesrather than the true Anti-Japanese War history. Therefore, the production andworks’characters of anti-Japanese movies and TV series in different periods canclearly show the consciousness and mental state of the nation and eras.
