On The Realm Of Life

Realm of life is the overall state and level of soul which a person reached in their life. The core of realm of life is meaning world and value world which the soul can pass or access. Realm of life can be gradually formed in the process of life practice, continuously acting on the person’s cognition, emotions, will, and other psychological processes, embodied in the person’s attitude towards life and the world, temperament, behavior and other aspects of human performance. Realm of life is the height that human nature can achieve, concentrated embodiment of strength of human freedom essence. Realm of life is not only the soul achievement of which a person made as human beings, but also the fundamental difference between people.Based on three kinds of mental processes of human--cognition, feelings and will, realm of life can be divided into ideological realm, moral realm and aesthetic realm, which corresponds to cognition, will and feeling. Although the three kinds of realm types in a person’s realm of life has a relative independence, but they are also closely related one another. Among them, a person’s status of ideological realm profoundly impact on his moral realm and aesthetic realm, his moral realm profoundly affects his aesthetic realm, while his aesthetic realm is often the achievement of his ideological realm and moral realm.The research of realm of life is of great significance for the individual and society. For the individual, the realm of life is an authentic reality in his whole life. High-level realm of life not only means far-reaching ideological realm, lofty moral realm and noble aesthetic realm, but also means the possibility to experience a deeper sense of happiness and a lofty attitude toward life. For the society, everyone in a society is the factor of social civilization and his realm of life is also an important manifestation of the whole level of social civilization. The enhancement of people’s realm of life brings family happiness, enterprise development, social stability, human peace and harmonious coexistence between man and the natural environment.Realm of life is the unity of diversity and hierarchy. Diversity, on the one hand, comes from individual different social background, daily life, character and unconscious, accident or encounters in one’s life situation, etc. On the other hand, it comes from each one’s self-transcendence ability, which resulted soul’s different directions and ways. In contrast, the ability of self-transcendence plays a dominant role in determining a person’s realm&level of life. Realm of life is the unity of difference and commonality. Realm of human life is various between different individual, however, people are always living in the same cultural background. The same cultural background always plays a subtle but profound impact to the vast majority of people living in these realms of life.Philosophy is the crystallization and the core of culture. A kind of philosophy not only always arises from a culture, but also a summary, inheritance and development for the cultural. In contemporary Chinese society, Confucian philosophy, Marxist philosophy, Buddhist philosophy, Taoism and Christian philosophy still play important roles in the life of the Chinese people and their mind state and structure. The five kinds of ideology all pursuit the noble realm of life, and all formed their own unique insight to the ideological realm, moral realm and aesthetic realm in the process of the heritage and innovation.Realm of life is the unity of the de facto and generative. From de facto view, a consciousness realm of society as a whole realm of life, once formed, has certain stability. From the generative view, the current realm of life is evolved from the past and will continue to generate and develop with the changes of the times. The view of realm of life of western society experienced pre-modern, modern and post-modern changes, demonstrated a new trend. The view of realm of life of China’s contemporary society experienced three millennia development and the huge impact of modernity embodied some highlighted characteristics. Contemporary Chinese people desire to to go beyond to higher realm of life after reflecting their imperfect life situation and corresponding society’s calling to enhance realm of life.Living in Chinese society which modernity has been widely infiltrated, people has a multi-way choice in improving realm of life. However, any option can not separate the ongoing efforts towards a higher realm of life. In contemporary China, people need to constantly self-transcendence, enhance their thought level, deepen and expand the meaning of world and life to enhance their ideological realm; need to change self-centered attitude, form a "good"-inside value world to enhance their moral realm; need to permeating deep thought, lofty ambitions and deep moral feelings into aesthetic consciousness to enhance their aesthetic realm. In the process of upgrading their ideological realm, moral and aesthetic realm, a people need to guard against transcendental errors, such us,"as adaptation for transcendence","as exclusion for transcendence ","as detachment for transcendence" and "as degradation for transcendence ",so as to transcend self-centered attitude and achieve spiritual freedom as much as possible.Achieving the highest realm of life is bound to be impossible, and also can not be fully realized in a person’s real life. This is determined by both limited nature of society and limited nature of human being. Nevertheless, in the process of self-transcendence, the soul of a people can go beyond their limited lives, make their life’s meaning and value intersect with infinite world. This kind of sacred or noble aesthetic experience always means the appreciation of perfect realm of life. Although aesthetic experience is often short-lived, it has extraordinary significance. Repeated short-term experience can gradually develop into stable consciousness structure and this is just the core connotation of self-cultivation.
