The article discussed the realm of Zhuangzi's life systematicly on the basis of modern theory. Firstly, the article unveiled the realistic background of the realm of Zhuangzi's life. Zhuangzi formed his unique personality in such condition. Secondly, the article discussed the Zhuangzi's ideas of life by turning the point of view from Zhuangzi's extrinsic world to his intrinsic world. Then it concluded that there had been many arrangements of ideas such as Zhuangzi's cosmology, Zhuangzi's sympathy for life, Zhuangzi's transcension to subject and object, Zhuangzi's realm of spirit. Finally, the article discussed Zhuangzi's creativity of art existed in the realm of life. And it pointed out Zhuangzi's tragic attitude to the realistic world. He thought that realistic life likes a big dream and people must wake up from the dream. He couldnot find a solution to the conflict between ideal and reality.
