The Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution in China is an important part of Mongolian literature and also a serious and inevitable project during the study of it. From October in 1967, people have been making comments intermittently for forty years. Compared with literatures in other periods, there are not much attention and deep studies in the Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution. There are many factors that can cause this situation, such as, political taboo, traditionally theoretical prejudice, the location problem of critical position and so on.The time setting of the Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution from 1966 to 1976 is based on the recognized beginning and ending time of the Cultural Revolution in China from the" Notice in May Sixteenth" in 1966 until’the Smashing of the "Gang of Four"’as symbols.This paper puts the published papers of Mongolian literature in Inner Mongolian during the period of The Cultural Revolution in China as the research subject. By analyzing literature texts, it can be concluded that the Mongolian literature during the Cultural Revolution is study worthy and meaningful since it is a particular existence in an abnormal social and historical context.This paper consists of four parts, Introduction, Main Body (chapter 1-3), Conclusion and Appendix.The introduction illustrates the main reason of selecting the topic, the general situation and results of the research from predecessors, the purpose of the research and the methods of the research and so on.The first chapter presents the political cultural reasons and social historical context for emergence of Mongolian literature in the period of The Cultural Revolution. This paper argues that Mongolian literature in the period of The Cultural Revolution is not an isolated existence but a complex existence, and it is the inheritance of the "Seventeen Years’ Literature" and the" Literature in the New Period" has a close relationship with its development, in which has a transition effect.The second chapter discusses the impacts of organizational culture on Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution. From the analysis of some aspects such as the theme, the simplified topic, the model narrative and the specialized writer team and so on, it can be showed that the image of the Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution is taking the political service and the class struggle as prime mission.The third chapter analyzes the impacts that war culture and "binary opposition" mentality have on the Mongolian literature texts form in the period of the Cultural Revolution. From the studies of objective description and character portrayal and so on, it can reveal the significance that the Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution have to the 20th century Mongolian literature. This is the main idea of the Mongolian literature studies in the period of The Cultural Revolution.Through the analysis above, it can be concluded that the Mongolian literature in the period of The Cultural Revolution, as a tool and an ideological symbol, has been integrated in operation mechanism of political ideology. The research of the Mongolian literature during the period of The Cultural Revolution should reflect the characteristics of Mongolian literary study in the time of the Cultural Revolution from the theoretical level. Pay attention to the comb, the accumulation and the description of the historical material of the Mongolian literature in the period of the Cultural Revolution.
