From the point of view of ideology, Socialism with Chinese characteristics is a series of viewpoint which are put forward by the Chinese Communist Party in order to solve Chinese problems since the reform and opening up. China has made great progress over the past several decades under the guidance of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is due to the deep historical foundation and cultural insight of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The cultural insight means the result of culture accumulation, referring to cultural origin, the cultural characteristic and the cultural spiritual strength. It has the characteristics of historical inheritance, practice oriented, advanced oriented and nationalization. The cultural insight of socialism with Chinese characteristics means that the deep spiritual factors consist in socialism with Chinese characteristics, such as social ideal, value orientation, idea, way of thinking, etc. referring to the origin, cultural characteristic and the spiritual strength. This paper aims to investigate and clarify what cultural factors have a significant impact on the formation and development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, how to absorb, learn lessons and promote the cultural factors. Finally, this paper discusses what significance and requirements we have to strengthen the cultural insight of the socialism with Chinese characteristics.The introduction briefly reviews the advance of the cultural insight of Chinese characteristic socialism at home and abroad from the point of view of entirety, path, theory system and institution. However, there is no systematic and deep study on the cultural insight of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This paper insists in the guidance of historical materialism and the methods of historical and logical unity and comparative study, and clarifies the culture insight of socialism with Chinese characteristics from the three aspects of the excellent traditional culture, red culture and modern western culture system, which is conducive to bringing to us a better understanding of the inevitability and rationality of socialism with Chinese characteristics, to strengthen spiritual support of socialism with Chinese characteristics and to enhance the vitality of socialism with Chinese characteristics.The first chapter expounds some relevant theoretical issues about the cultural insight of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This paper defines the concept of culture from the narrow sense, and argues that culture is about the value orientation, ideological concept, mode of thinking and other spiritual content. Culture has a social role of historical heritage, national enlightenment, national cohesion and social regulation. This paper argues that the powerful cultural insight is conducive to further enhance the recognition and influence of country, to enhance the cultural soft power of China dream, and to strengthen the power of discourse and leadership of the national ideology.The second chapter discusses Socialism with Chinese characteristics inherits and innovates Chinese excellent traditional culture. The traditional culture has a broad and narrow sense. The traditional culture in a broad sense refers to the sum of the historical formation of the material, institution and ideology, can be said that all inclusive. In narrow sense, the traditional culture refers to the historical inherited values, the sum of mode of thinking, ethics and aesthetic taste. This paper uses a narrow sense of traditional culture. Excellent traditional culture is the things of traditional cultures ˊessence, spirit and verve; it is the embodiment of the national spirit. This paper expounds that Socialism with Chinese characteristics integrates and promotes Chinese excellent traditional culture from three aspects: the social ideal, the essence and the way of thinking.
