The thesis consists of introduction, text, conclusion, appendix, bibliography, etc. In the introductory part, the writer has explained the reason for the topic, research methods, purposes, value of study, collecting and searching profiles of Ordos folktale. The writer also has systematically showed the survey of Ordos Mongolian folktale texts in the domestic and international or internal publishing books or journals in the paper. Meanwhile, the author has analyzed the current collecting situation and precautions in future gathering of Ordos Mongolian folk tales in the treatise.The current situation and heritage of Ordos Mongolian folk tales are described in the first chapter. By fieldwork, we have found that Ordos Mongolian folk tales have been facing the crisis of lost. Although a variety of remedial measures have been taken by the local government, there are not significant results.In the second chapter, the writer has analyzed the types of Ordos Mongolian folk tales. Mainly took the internationally accepted classification of AT method to classify on nearly 1000 Ordos Mongolian folk tales. The classification followed by:101 types of classification of the world, which account for 29% of the total,146 types of country account for 42%, and 101 ethnic types account for 29% of total type. So that writer has got the result that there are more national characteristics in Ordos Mongolian folk tale.In the third chapter, the author has Analyzed on more typical three stories in Ordos Mongolian folk tale. One is the story from India, named "Alza Boer Zhahan", another one is from Chinese literature work " The Teenager Riding a Dark Ox ",the other one from another Chinese literature work is "Seven Balds and a Crooked Neck" with different forms more. It is easy to find that there are cultural exchanges between India and Han nationality from the three works which keeps the basic storyline of the original work and absorbs motif of the local characteristics.In the forth chapter, the writer has worked on revealing the cultural connotation of the Ordos Mongolian folk tales with the rich themes. The author has taken folklore culture methods to research on it, as well as, has managed to interpret the cultural phenomena of Crow worship, respecting customs from multiple angles, and then to unearth the deep cultural connotation in Ordos Mongolian folk tales.As a general conclusion of the paper, the writer specifically summarizes the research work of each chapter as well as the theoretical results.The Ordos Mongolian folk tale type index has been arranged in the first part of the appendix. The writer has analyzed the types of Ordos Mongolian folk tales. Mainly took the internationally accepted classification of AT method to classify on them. Each type is accompanied not only summary of the story, and AT classification number and type names but also the classification number and type name from Ding Naitong "Chinese folk tale type index" and Jin Huarong "Folk Tales".In the second part of the appendix, to provide the Ordos folk tale text catalog which is divided into four categories, followed by magical stories, folk fable, life stories, folk jokes, while the story of each class belongs to Mongolian alphabetical order.
