| Non-suicidal self-injury behavior is a social problem which being harmful for adolescent’s mental health. At present, scholars don’t know much information about the processing process of non-suicidal self-injury behavior, especially the psychological meaning of how adolescents explain their feelings concerning situation, and which has important theoretical and practical value to further understanding the non-suicidal self-injury behavior mechanism, prevention and intervention of non-suicidal self-injury behavior. This study, guided under the Social Information Processing Model dealing with emotion and cognition, explored the interpretation stage of non-suicidal self-injury behavior, the structure of Situational Awareness, construction, and the role of mediation in the social information processing model through in-depth interviews, questionnaire method, on the threshold subliminal experiment and combination of qualitative and quantitative researchThis thesis focued on "Situational Awareness for adolescents of non-suicidal self-injury did researches including (1) the contents and structure of Situational Awareness for adolescent non-suicidal self-injury behavior;(2) Experimental study on the instantaneity of the Situational Awareness;(3) Mediation role of the Situational Awareness between the BPD symptoms and life events towards adolescents non-suicidal self-injury behavior.The main findings of the study were as follows:1. The feelings and experiences before non-suicidal self-injury were understood. Through in-depth interviews, Those were found out that Situational Awareness before non-suicidal self-injury including two parts, one is the Situational Awareness towards self; the other is the Situational Awareness towards interpersonal relationship. Structural equation model showed that Situational Awareness related self consisted of overload feeling, injured feeling; the Situational Awareness related interpersonal relationship containing bullied and insultied sense, lack of love and support from others and suffer wrong. Scale structure validity is good.2. To explore the threshold priming effect on the Situational Awareness.Information processing of the Situational Awareness involving both conscious level and automation lever.During the interpretation stage of the information processing, the Situational Awareness was relied on individual past experiences, also depended on the nature and traits of stimulus from circumstances. The studies have found that BPD most associated closely with non-suicidal self-injury among various personality, and Non-suicidal self-injury was induced by all kinds of life events, so this experiment was to stuy BPD symptoms and interpersonal conflict (or learning frustration events) effects on situational awareness for self-injury adolescents. The results showed that the interaction between the two had not level; the Situational Awareness "now I feel very sad" different significant between high and low lever of BPD symptoms; About life events, situational awareness "now I feel almost to breaking point","now I feel frustrated","now I feel like there are people against me","I now feel misunderstood by others","now I feel very sad","I now feel unable to express inner upset" difference reached significant level.3. To explore the subliminal emotion priming effect of situational awareness. Considering complexity structure of the Situational Awareness, mood disorders played the important role of non-suicidal self-injury behavior and emotional dynamic tendency, the study through the subliminal emotional priming experiment, explored the priming influence on adolescents’non-suicidal self-injury behavior. Repeated Measurement MONOVA showed that the accurate rate of the interaction effects and main effects were not significant; Reaction time of Non-suicidal Self-injury adolescents were significantly longer toward unpleasant words than pleasant words; Significant main effect of Subliminal emotional priming did not found,to which prediction effect on self injury.Reflecting on and rechecked the research data,It is found that during the experiment on process of subliminal emotional priming, the self-injury of adolescents were of high error raters, comprising17, and further analysis showed that relationship were significant between the error rate and damage degree, total score of non-suicidal self-injury behavior tendency.4. The Situational Awareness was found an important variable of self-injury behavior during the process of information processing, of which information processing model put forward and tested, including two main processing including coding, explaining phrases. Given the non-suicidal self-injury behavior diversory symptom, single variable being difficult to explain non-suicidal self-injury, after puberty self-healing phenomenon, etc., self-injury group can be divided into developmental self-injury and pathological self-injury with Yu Lixia, Jiang Guangrong (2013) classification method, and exam mediation effects of the Situational Awareness in different groups non-suicidal self-injury during the process of information processing. Results showed that (1) The Situational Awareness played total mediation effect on interpersonal conflict events, BPD symptoms, interactions with love pressure and BPD symptoms predicting self-injury; BPD symptoms effected totally on between important events.interpersonal conflict and self-injury; and BPD symptoms played partially effect on between interpersonal conflict events and the Situational Awareness in developmental non-suicidal self-injury.(2)For the pathological group self-injury, interpersonal conflict events effected on the self-injury throuth the Situational Awareness totally mediation; BPD symptoms effected partially on between interpersonal conflict events and the Situational Awareness; Interaction with BPD symptoms and Love events showed direct effect on the pathological group self-injury.3) For all the non-suicidal self-injury,the Situational Awareness played the significant mediation effects between four kinds of events, BPD symptoms and non-suicidal self-injury. Among them,the Situational Awareness were a total mediate variable between important events, interpersonal conflict events, study events and self-injury; In the relationship between love events,BPD symptoms and self-injury,the Situational Awareness were a partially mediation; BPD symptoms played a partially role in relationship between interpersonal conflict events and he Situational Awareness. Anymore, Interaction with BPD symptoms and Love events showed direct effect on the whole self-injury group.
