Research On The Construction Of Natural Value In The View Of Green Development

The issue of value is an important problem in the field of value philosophy. It refers to relationships among human beings, nature, and society. The research of value philosophy has shifted from theoretical value to life value which combined with practice. Value problem closely related with human reality and it covers moral,politics, religion, aesthetics, etc. This dissertation will discuss nature values in the field of value philosophy.Nature value is newly discussed but it is an old issue. This old issue can be traced back to the organic nature view in ancient Greek time, in natural ethics of Plato or Aristotle, and in the stoics’ theory. Nature value can also be traced back to China’s wisdom of Zhuangzi and Buddhist thought.With historical development of value philosophy, opposition between the subject and object formed.As a result and also cause of this opposition, binary discrete between fact and value, binary discrete between scientific knowledge and moral knowledge has being formed. A series of changes have taken place in natural value: the natural intrinsic value is ignored, natural value gradually turned into a single kind of value, which means a tool to man.The above views are known as traditional nature value. This traditional nature value based form value change in Bacon’s and René Descartes’ s time, and it based on the way of thinking called subject-object dichotomy.But with the development of history, natural value issue gradually emerged with the new organic theory, the concept of naturalist, and the critical theory of naturalists. At the same time, western philosophy of value experienced series of change: change from the specification value to the yuan value and from yuan valve to norms and moral values. Nature value experienced thinking critique from yuan value. And it turns to an acceptable view with the footsteps of China’s green development, and with the development and steering of value philosophy.Green development is not only a change in the way of economic, but also a value choice of human beings. A new perspective from green development mainly presented in the digestion of subject-object dichotomy, and it is mainly performance as holism in human and nature.Green development as the newest philosophy, it reflects the two steering of modern value philosophy: the ecological steering, application steering. Green development pursuit ecological holism. Green development is a new practice in China.No matter domestic or foreign, debates about natural value are mainly around the rationality of value subject. In my opinion, this debate will digest in the value revolution. The most important thing is not discussing about whether it exist or not, but combining with practice philosophy and building a new system of nature value.The first chapter will reveal controversy in the problems of nature value, in the background of traditional value system; the second chapter will reveal the causes of these problems; The third chapter reveal the external performance of traditional value; the forth chapter expounds the transformation and change of the natural value, nature value is looking for a new path in the contradiction and two kinds of value conflict. The way of thinking this problem changes from subject-object dichotomy to holism. The fifth chapter is philosophy foundation of green development, and in the sixth chapter a new nature value system is established. Chapter seven reveals a four-dimension structure of nature value.Re-construction of nature value system is based on a new value philosophy system which contains ontology, epistemology, and value theory. First, the nature value both includes instrumental value of nature and the intrinsic value of nature, and nature value is a unity of being itself and instrumental value. Secondly, in epistemology, we should think out of the shackles of the body, to avoid blindly stessing on the oppositive relationship between the main object and the beings. We should disscuss on the need of nature and the meaning of nature‘s being exisited.the being exsited should include ecological crisis, technical and social alienation, the jungle evolution, etc. Without the existence of problem-oriented, and without human reason thinking on these problems, we recognize the value would be meaningless. Finally, we should solve the problem following a holistic-oriented and practical-oriented thinking, and disscuss the issue in the context of the times placed.we can finds that Green development theory is an organic unity of human perception and human practice.Naturel value cantains four relations. First, the relationship between nature and man is that nature contains people and it because inspiration human thinking comes from nature. Second, natural values and human values is the two parts of the same whole, and there is a dialectical logic, which can be reflexted in the relation between people’s individual needs and the needs of the group. Third, nature value plays a guiding role on human thinking’s forming. Human thinking is guided from the entity thinking to holistic thinking, from the subject-object dichotomy of thinking to practical thinking. Fourth, nature value practicaly guide urbanization practices in modern society. Nature’s diversity values guideus to enjoy the spirit entertainment, and to find wisdom of nature. Aesthetic value of nature requires that we pay attention to the urban context of inheritance in the rural construction. Natural scientific value requires that we avoid following the footsteps of rural industrialization, and we should retain nostalgia and defense the beauty views.This dissertation uses the method of text analysis and philosophical speculations.it collect and discuss the existing natural value contained in philosophical works, paper, dissertations, and do theoretical analysis to these works.This dissertation brings nature value back to public eyes. The innovation of this dissertation is that the new methodology revealed in green development theory is proved by contemporary philosophies. A new nature value system is established. Through the foudation of this new system, we can see a value trend, which is that it takes human thinking from the subject-object dichotomy to holistic value philosophy, from a purely critique which happened in yuan value philosophy and is being acted on the nature value, to a practical value philosophy.
