First, this article proposes that logistics competitiveness refers to the logistics industry’s comprehensive advantage of comparative advantage, competitive advantage and sustainability advantage for one country or region compared to others. And also a logistics competitive performance evaluation model is founded which contains four elements and three dimensions. The former refers to logistics demand competitiveness, element competitiveness, innovation competitiveness and sustainable competitiveness, while the latter includes development degree (quantity dimension), coordination degree (quality dimension), and duration degree (clock dimension). In consideration that logistics competitiveness industry has plenty of related factors, each element belongs to different hierarchies and has strong fuzzy characteristic, it proposes the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and grey evaluation as the logistics competitive performance evaluation method.On the basis of logistics competitive performance evaluation model, this article then adds the driving factor and growth path of logistics competitive growth, constructs a logistics competitive growth driving model based on the drives of demand, factors, innovation and sustainability. The common explanation of this model is that the logistics competitive growth is driven by demand, factor, innovation and sustainability. The drives of demand means that the economic growth is the driving force for the development of logistics, then a new logistics forms is required to show up to improve the logistics industry development level, the essence of which is that the economic development needs logistics demand and then requires new logistics forms, raising the level of competitiveness in logistics industry. The factor driving has two connotations, one is the competitiveness from the comparative advantage in the elements environment, and the other is the competitive advantage of the enterprise from the choice in the change of demand and the prices of factors in the logistics market. Based on the factors’price changes, industries normally make the choice to save the element cost, and then the competitive advantage of logistics industry is improved. The essence of innovation is the re-conjunction and optimization of related productive elements and condition in the productive system. The innovation driving is the regional logistics industry joint evaluation appreciation and competitive advantage growth process through innovation. Sustainability is the final growth path which refers to the upgrade based on the process of comparative advantage→ompetitive advantaged→sustainable advantage. Meanwhile, the inter-relationship among demand, factor driving, innovation promotion and sustainability growth path is explained and analyzed.Finally, this article takes Shenzhen logistics industry as an example, combines quantitative analysis and qualitative summaries from the perspectives of demand, element driving, innovation promotion and sustainability, analyzes Shenzhen logistics competitiveness growth path and driving factor in different development stages and carries on an empirical test about above views.
