Research On The Mechanism And Effect Of Spatial Economic Network

China is in the middle stage of industrialization and urbanization, while the economic structure, industrial structure, regional structure and urban structure will undergo enormous changes with the rapid growth of economy. According to the experience of developed countries, the economic activities will show the characteristics of spatial agglomeration and concentration before per capita income reaching10thousand dollars. By year2030, China will have1.6billion populations that will be at least300million people entering cities, which will result in spatial agglomeration and promote the rise of urban agglomerations. As the development of information and transportation technology, increasing the form and channel of the space connection, decreasing the time and distance of connection, which reduces the contact cost, makes the division of labor and cooperation permeating into various fields of cities. With the economic activities broking single urban space scope, and the influence of the interaction among the cities becoming more frequently, network has been the power of promoting urban development and reconstructing space pattern. For a long time, the existing research ignored the city external environment and the relationship between cities. Through the research of the "flow" and "network" caused by the interaction between economic activities and the corresponding formation process of spatial network relation, plays a important role in optimizing the space allocation of resource, accelerating the adjustment of space structural, realizing the reasonable development of the economic space.From the theoretical level, agglomeration theory will result the absence of overall spatial structure information in the evolution analysis of economic space without network analysis. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce the concept and method of spatial economic network into the theory and empirical researches, in order to compensating for the inconsistency between the economic space and geographic network space. This paper integrated the space evolution theory of NEG, the spatial structure theory of regional economics and traffic economics, put forward the framework of "spatial economic network", using the complex social network analysis and econometric methods to explain its mechanism and the actual effect systematic, which provides a new perspective of studying the space distribution and spatial evolution law. In addition, the topic supported by the National Social Science Fund "The theory and practice of spatial economics in China".Based on the reviewing and combing of related concepts and theories, this study establishes the theory analysis framework of spatial economic network which includes the connotation-motivations-mechanism-path-effects. Spatial economic network is the sum of economic subjects’interaction and relations, which connected the city nods and formed the corresponding spatial structure in certain region. In the two path of market and government, the spatial economic network comes into being in the process of elements agglomerating and spreading among cities along the enterprise production organization network and infrastructure network through the spatial agglomeration and diffusion mechanism, the spatial externality mechanism and the competition mechanism. The space-time evolution of spatial economic network shows different structural patterns, which has the resource allocation effect, the space structure effect and the economic growth effect. In order to verify the applicability of the theoretical framework, fist of all, the study constructed the evaluation index system from nodes, relations and the network structure, which borrowed the complex network index and analysis method. Secondly, the study tested the effects of the spatial economic network with the ten urban agglomerations as research objects.Through theoretical analysis and empirical tests, the study concluded as following. First, the improvement of spatial network made the economic activities concentrate in urban agglomerations in region, and concentrate or spread in urban agglomerations; the various levels of spatial economic network has different influence on the structure of urban agglomerations:the transportation infrastructure has "inverted U" relationship with the single-center structure; elements mobility network promotes the evolvement of polycentric city; the influence of the Internet infrastructure shows "agglomeration-polycentric" according to the urban industrial function. Second, the improve the spatial economic network can promote regional economic performance effectively and promote regional economic coordinated growth. The empirical results show that, monocentric structure is the main restriction of low efficiency urban agglomeration, while the networked spatial structure promote economic performance significantly. Only the economic performance of urban agglomeration reaches a certain level, the influence of internal difference of structure will be not significant. The improvement of infrastructure network and the capacity expansion of elements mobile network could enhance the total factor productivity and technological progress of urban agglomerations significantly.
