| The difficult problem of Huang-Huai-Hai plain is how to keep food security while the rapid urbanization and industrialization.It’s an major contradiction in the future development of regional man-earth relationship.From what point of view to study the "relationship"is the key to solve the contradiction of man-earth relationship in Huang-Huai-Hai plain.This study draw the connotation of "limits" in concept of carrying capacity to build a theoretical framework of man-earth relationship based on the comprehensive carrying capacity.This study also use the ecological footprint model,economy capacity model, ArcGIS spatial analysis and other methods to build the evaluation system of man-earth relationship based on the comprehensive carrying capacity.Then this study fully explored the pressure of human activities on the natural geographical environment,the support of natural geographical environment and human geographical environment to human activities.It provided reference for coordinating man-earth relationship and ensuring the sustainable development on the dual pressures in ensuring food security and accelerating development of urbanization and industrialization.Overall,the comprehensive system of Huang-Huai-Hai plain was under-loading state from1997to2008,and man-earth relationship was coordinate.But the comprehensive carrying capacity of Huang-Huai-Hai plain decreased from334.707million people to324.457million people,and the pressure of carrying capacity increased from0.77to0.88.The stable upgrade of comprehensive carrying capacity should proceed from two point,one was the requirement in regional human survival and development,the other was the support in natural system and human system.Finding the balance between the constraints in natural environment and the rapid development in human environment,it could formulate a scientific and reasonable sustainable development model.According to the pressure and state analysis in comprehensive carrying capacity,the man-earth relationship of Huang-Huai-Hai plain was divided into three types including tense,critical,and coordinate.Based on the pressures of human activity,the comprehensive carrying capacity,and the limit corresponding features of comprehensive carrying capacity.the type of man-earth relationship was further divided into14subcategories.Then this study discussed in detail the constraints of coordinating development in man-earth relationship.Based on the basic principles in reducing pressure and increasing the carrying capacity,this study provided the coordination and optimization way in terms of population,resources and industries.The man-earth relationship study based on comprehensive carrying capacity highlights the providing limits of regional resources,environment and economic social elements for the demand of human life,production and ecological. It’s an effective method in evaluating regional man-earth relationship.The theory, method and empirical analysis of man-earth relationship based on comprehensive carrying capacity enrichs and develops the theory and research of man-earth relationship,and also provides support for the scientific evaluation of man-earth relationship in Huang-Huai-Hai plain.
