Gender differences between income and gender differences between social mobility have already got plenty of achievement in academic field. However, the influences from social mobility to gender income gap have not got enough concern from researchers. This study combining the theory of social mobility and the theory of gender stratification discussed that under the influence of social mobility how the gender income differences present. There are two views about gender inequality issue, one is "status access difference", the other is "status structure difference". The view of status access considers that there has inequality when male and female get into a certain position. The view of status structure considers that even if we do not concern the inequality between gender and position access, there still have inequality when male and female try to attain the same return from the same position.Based on both views, this paper try to discuss the relationship between social mobility and gender inequality. This study use 2012 Shanghai University Shanghai Social Science Research Center’s data. In this paper I distinguished social mobility into four parts: intergenerational occupational status mobility、generation occupational status mobility, urban and rural household registration mobility、local and nonlocal registration mobility. In the analysis of this article I used multiple linear regression model、logistic regression model and multi-level linear model. The results showed that there has inequality between gender and status access. On the one hand, women in a disadvantage position both in intergenerational occupation mobility and generational occupation mobility. On the other hand, women move to an advantage position in registration mobility. The results also showed that there has inequality between mobility and gender income differences. Even if women achieved a higher position same as men, they still earn less money than men.
