Nowadays, social media, notably micro blogs, has become the key area of corporation crises occurrence and spread involving the reputation of injury. To the applications of social media, many corporations hesitate because of the lack of mastery and the fear of related crises. Besides deeper reasons, this kind of crises mostly comes from lacking of understanding the nature and law of social media, leading to the operation errors and mismanaged responses afterwards. As social media is still in the period of growth and understanding, there are few systematic and theoretic conclusions in this field. Therefore, this article attempts to take a systematic approach to the research on the causes and mechanism of crises under new media environment. Meanwhile, the author puts forward a series of practical principles and ideas on warning, diffusion and management.After thorough literature review, this paper uses the qualitative method to propose several creative ideas, ranging from establishing the index system of corporation crises causes identification under social media environment, to the three significant steps of corporation crises management. First and forward, based on combing the general causes of corporation crises from internal and external perspective, the article discusses the characteristics of corporation crises causes under social media environment and make corporation crises causes identification in the meanwhile. Moreover, it builds the index system of corporation crises causes and further conducts research on the causation of corporation crises causes through QSIM(qualitative simulation methods). Secondly, after studying the effects and characteristics of corporation crises diffusion under social media environment, this article constructs a conceptual model of corporation crises diffusion by comparing that under original media circumstance, and also studies the promoter of corporation crises diffusion under this condition. In addition, this paper builds a warning system model for corporation crises under social media environment in three consecutive stages ranging from Daily early warning,the prophase and middle term of crisis spreading,and proposes countermeasures of corporation crises prevention and control. Last but not least, based on the existing general principles of corporate crises management, the writer plays emphasis on the valuable management principles of corporation crises from pre-crisis and crisis diffusion aspects under social media environment.The innovation of this research can be summarized as: this paper conducts the research of corporation crises causes identification under social media environment, and it tries to identify corporation crises causes through qualitative simulation methods,constructs a corporation crises diffusion model and a corporation crises warning model under social media environment. Moreover, it proposes management principles of corporation crises under social media environment.The best vision of this research is not only helping corporations deal with crises under social media environment but, most importantly, preventing crises, so as to promote the healthy development of social media applications of corporations and prompt the transformation of “social corporations”.
