In the thesis, we have discussed in detail the preparation of six-photon entan-gled states, the preparation of ten-qubit entangled states, quantum computation and quantum simulation based on these entangled states. The main results are listed as follows:1. We have realized the preparation of the six-photon GHZ state and cluster state. The method used can be extended to the case of cluster state (graph state) with more qubits.2. We have realized the preparation of ten-qubit GHZ state, in which we have used the five-photon entangled state and each photon's polarization mode and spatial mode.3. Based on a six-photon entangled graph state, we have realized the simula-tion of anyons and the verification of the statistic properties of anyons.4. We have realized two types of quantum coding against loss of qubits in both the traditional circuit model and the one-way quantum computation model.5. Based on a six-qubit entangled cluster state, a C-Not gate with arbitrary single-qubit input has been realized.6. We have realized the experimental demonstration of topological error cor-rection. By using of the topological properties of quantum state, we have demon-strated a method of protecting quantum information and quantum computation against noise.
