Research On Chinese-style Furniture Based On Modern Lifestyle And Indoor Form And Structure

With the influence of globalization, informationization, networkization and intelligentization of global economy, people's lifestyle has greatly changed as compared with the traditional one. The evolving lifestyle has resulted in different views of life, allowing people's demand for life quality to become increasingly higher, and pursuit for high standard of life to become increasingly urgent."lifestyle" generally refers to people's material lifestyle, spiritual lifestyle, etc. It in general reflects individual interests, hobbies and value orientation with peculiar times and nationality-based features. The evolvement of people's lifestyle not only requires, but also poses influence on development of the Chinese-style furniture.The lifestyle is a vital part of customs of social life, and closely associated with people's daily life; meanwhile, the change of life lifestyle has also caused the reform of indoor form and structure. Especially today the modern indoor form and structure is different from the traditional one, thus the furniture of traditional forms is hard to satisfy modern people's demands for diversified life. Thus it's necessary to study the Chinese furniture under such a new scenario in order to determine whether to attain the practical functions or decorative functions of the traditional furniture, the material experience or spiritual experience of the traditional furniture. The paper mainly studies the influence on the Chinese furniture from both aspects of lifestyle and indoor form and structure.(1)establishes a theoretical frame for the Chinese-style furniture; proposes a concept of new Chinese-style furniture by analysing relevant concepts.(2)studies lifestyles related to the Chinese-style furniture; analyses the functions of furniture subject to both ancient and current lifestyles and their evolution, new pattern and trend of development, and their influence on the Chinese-style furniture.(3)analyses the influence of difference in internal form and structure of both ancient and current architectures on the Chinese-style furniture. It's used as a theoretical and technical basis for studying the Chinese-style furniture.(4) based on Residential Housing Consumer Psychology Questionnaires, analyses the factors affecting residence and furniture purchase by using principles related to SPSS Social Statistics to guide the deign of new Chinese-style furniture.(5)summarizes the development of modern internal form and structure; discusses the influence of different internal forms and structures on the Chinese-style furniture; with respect to existing residences and residences with elaborate decoration, proposes modularized design methods and studies the implementation and principles of these functional modules to provide certain theoretical basis for associating modern Chinese-style furniture with internal form and structure of residences.(6)based on visit to rosewood furniture market and data from Rosewood Furniture Consumer Psychology Questionnaires, analyses consumers'residence and furniture purchase conditions, summarizes the demand trend of the Chinese-style furniture consumers; studies creative design methods for new Chinese-style furniture so as to provide inspirations and references for innovation of the Chinese-style furniture in modern design.(7)with respect to the conflicts between the traditional Chinese furniture and modern internal forms and structures, based on the analysis results of market investigation, the principles of human engineering, sustainable design principles, "human-oriented" design principles, localized design principles, design principles combining crafts with modern technology, creates new Chinese-style furniture products of appropriate structure and suitable functions with traditional Chinese elements by incorporating lifestyles of modern people.and using methods of innovation theories.
