Blend and application of collagen protein and cellulose is one of important question for study of natural polymer. It is very important to the composite study of natural polymer and the comprehensible utilization of leather solid waste and waste paper.Revolving around the combination and utilization of collagen protein and cellulose,combining mechanism and combining method of collagen and cellulose,preparation method of mixed ligand complex,preparation method of collagen protein,and property of product,etc,has been studied deeply in this paper.A preparation method,using MgO as hydrolyte to isolate collagen protein,the most composition in the leather solid waste,has been developed. A systematic analysis of the hydrolysate has been performed by AFM,SDS-PAGE and amino acid composition analyzer.The combining mechanism of collagen and cellulose was deeply studied by ATM,X-ray diffraction,IR,SEM,DSC and TG for the first time. The result indicates that not only the combination of hydrogen bond but also the combination of covalent bond and ionic bond between collagen protein and cellulose exist in the blend sheet,hence the anchoring force between them increases. Crystallinity of cellulose I in the blend sheet increased when collagen was added to the pulp. Crystallinity of cellulose I in the blend sheet decreased with an increase in chitosan content as crosslinked polymer,but the anchoring force of fibers strengthened. The maximum mechanical strengths of blend sheet of dry and wet were observed when the ratio of chitosan to collagen protein is 3:5.The factors,which influence reduction reaction of glucose,carbohydrate and protein,have been analyzed systematically by gray relational space analysis method for the first time,the mechanism of oxidation-reduction reaction has been expounded,and the propertydifference of product has been analyzed. Based on that,mixed ligand complex,made by blending-reduction of chromium-containing collagen protein and cellulose has been studied deeply.Finally,the technology and method of blend-complex of collagen protein and cellulose,and blend-reduction of them have been established. The property of pulp,physical property of paper,property of mixed ligand complex has been tested. The result indicates that this method can fit in with the needs of new paper and new chrometan.
