Coenzyme Q(CoQ or CoQn), occurring naturally in all cells, is a sort of compounds of several important functions to the most of organisms. CoQio is the main homolog of CoQ existing in the human being, and in addition to be a common remedy in clinics used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases etc, now has also been used further as the nutrient in the foods. The metabolites and decomposed products of CoQ homologs, and a lots of synthetic CoQ analogs have shown significant biological activities concerning to its therapeutic effects. In our paper, we have carried out the research works in following four aspects on the synthesis of CoQ10 , the key intermediate 1,2,3,4-tetramethoxy-5-methylBenzene (TeMT), and related analogs.1. The semi-synthesis of CoQ10As a part of our research work, we carried out the modifications of the classic synthetic route derived from the semi-synthesis strategy of Terao on CoQ10 as follow:The improved Synthetic route of CoQ10...
