Image scanning system is the most important sub-system of aerial camera. Image scanning speed is high precision, then, getting the high image quality of the ground and battlefield. So the research of image scanning system control is very important for the development of aerial camera and military. Based on the theory and experiment, researches on the control method of image scanning system are done in this article.The traditional image scanning system is usually driven by a rotary motor, which transforms rotary motion into translational motion. The system structure is complex, noisy, bulky, low scanning frequency. It is difficult to achieve high control accuracy and high repetition rate, also can not constitute the video screen and meet the camera miniaturization, intelligent trend.The second chapter of this article compared the executive components of image scanning system, such as rotary motor, PZT, GMA, voice coil motor and linear motor. To get high-frequency high-speed reciprocating linear motion, chosen the voice coil motor as executive component. This part does mathematical operation for main parameters of important components such as processor, voice coil motor, position detector, force detection device, and choose the fitting ones to make sure the system is simple, small, and has a good dynamic response.The third chapter of this article established the mathematical model of image scanning control system, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of the scanning control system. The problems are how to improve scanning frequency and steady speed accuracy. Many control methods such as PID , Lag-lead Corrector,Fuzzy control,sliding mode control are compared in the forth chapter of this article. On the design of control system, in order to ensure the stability of the load movement, the position loop used fuzzy PID, the speed loop used the sliding mode control. At the same time, force control is introduced. The experimental results shows that it is stronger in robustness, better in adaptability, the quality and effect of control are satisfactory.Finally, we do a lot of experiments, getting the relation curve of scanning frequency, scanning trip, and load weight. Image scanning speed is 110mm/s, scanning frequency is up to 25Hz, speed accuracy is in 0.2%, scanning trip of linear segment is 0.22mm,sanning trip is 0.85mm. This result can meet the specific requirements of the project.
