Study On Landscape's Space Scale In Urban Resdential Area

In recent 15 years, the peneration of housing reform in our country has deeply stimulated the rapid development of city commercial residential area and the industry of Real Estate. The higher requirements on inhabitation environmental quality have been put forward as people's living standard improved. An unparalleled attention has been paid on the construction of the residential gardening landscape in urban area, and then comes into a century of development. But the meanwhile, the rapid development brings many problems as well, such as the blind copy and imitations of the post case are cropping up everywhere. Due to the lack of accurate grasp about the internal scale regime, the simple imitation about the plane graphic design causes many unsuccessful cases and correspondingly causes the hiatus of landscape scale and functions. The scale design is significant to the reasonable construction layout, perfect function and garden space in residential area, the writer has deeply experienced the importance of the research on systematic residential landscape space scale from her fifteen years' practice on gardening plan and design in residential area.The research on residential landscape space in this article breaks the traditional esthetic study which only focus on the space visual scale; starts from the general concept of spatial scale and integrates the actual needs on the planning and design of the residential gardening space, and also some relevant subjects about the research achievement on spatial scale; analyses and concludes the design problems of residential gardening spatial scale under the different scale tiers by applying many methods such as theoretical research, field investigation and survey, questionnaire, and theory with the case of testaments. The content that contains seven chapters is mainly classified into three parts as following:The first part which contains the first three chapters in this essay is theoretical analysis. It firstly defines the concept's connotation of the gardening spatial scale and the urban residential area, summarizes the research theories on spatial scale; analyses the influences on gardening spatial scale in residential area caused by the planning theories and practice between both domestic and overseas, and the currently existing issues about the gardening spatial scale in our urban residential area. Secongly, discussing the cognitive style about spatial scale and imagery elements scale, then summarizing the cognitive regularities of spatial scale; thirdly, investigating the classic gardening space in private gardens and the scale's characteristics of spatial organizations, exploring the design regularities to form the delightful landscape scale, analyzing its similarities and difference with the residential gardening space and its referencing meaning towards the design of gardening spatial scale in modern urban residential area.The second part contains Chapter 4,5 and 6 which is also the core part in this article. Chapter 4 discusses about the gardening spatial formation and dimensions under the influences of residential architectural composition, analyzing the scale formation, layout rhythm and the measurment scale, prposing to enhance the intervention of gardening spaciaty in general plannings of residential area, coordinating the layouts of buildings and gardening space in residential area, controlling the suitability of gardening spatial scale, changing the current status that gardening space could be constructed only by constructed field. Then forming the landscape space with the regulated dimension and reasonable radius to improve landscape space's utilization rate and the flexibility of use. Chapter 5 further discusses the relationship of how the formation patterns of the residential gardening space influence the configuration, function, sequence and the scale of the space conclude the simple formation regularity of the residential landscape spatial scale from the middle view. It analyses different types of residential gardening spatial scale and separates the landscape space in residential area into three types of path, residence and public space to futher investigate.It also concludes the simple formation regularity of the residential landscape spatial scale and build the formation system of residential landscape spatial scale and the referencing frame of it. Chapter 6, from the microscopic view, implements the research on the characteristics, formation and the application in gardening environment of different gardening space's formation factors, and provides the theoretical basis of the design with practical meanings.The third part summarizes the whole article to indicate that the design of the delightful residential gardening spatial scale should be constructed unitively from three scale arrangements which are macroscopic, middle and microscopic view.The innovation point of this article is to break through the limitation of the ancient research on residential landscape spatial scale which mainly attaches the importance to the study of the visual aesthetics by applying the research achievements of many other subjects such as Architectonics, environmental behaviors, vision theory and programming theory. From the methodological level to combine with the designing practice of the residential landscape space; extend to the space's layout, functions, experience, and the relationship between the space's utilization and the scale; from multi angles to entirely explain the residential landscape space's scale issues on different layouts, and then establishing the systematic residential area landscape spatial scale research system.
