The Study Of Healing Landscape Focused On The Outdoor Environment In Medical Institutions

As more and more attention was paid to the correlation between environment and health, and the development of biophilia hypothesis, we clearly know that the bad environment is the lead to many diseases, while good natural environment can help with the recovery of the patients. The research on healing landscape is relatively mature and advanced abroad. Therefore, it is the requirement of this era that we need to combine the advanced conception abroad with the actual situation of China to discover the right development path of healing landscape in China.The paper has used many kinds of method such as literature sourcing, investigating in real place, engineering practicing. Meanwhile, it make the deep research on healing landscape according to the related theories, the analysis on healing landscape theory both abroad and domestic which were based on the clear topic selection and recent research status on this issue. There are three parts in this article. First of all, it has set the reasonable range for healing landscape and made clear definition about the conception and characteristic of healing landscape. Meanwhile the paper tried to analyze the relations between healing landscape and healing environment, horticulture therapy, landscape therapy. It also introduced the classification of healing landscape and made the prediction about its development trend. Secondly, it made the research on related subject such as Medication and Environmental Psychology by combining the conception and specific operation of healing landscape. On the conception, it absorb many ideas from Medication and Environmental Psychology such as treating and recovery, harmony between human and nature, the consistence between psychology and physical, using different way to treat different patients, treating the patients based on their needs and the elements exists both in culture and society. It also discovered the characteristics and taboos of healing landscape from the mechanism of illness and related theory about Environmental Psychology. On the concrete operation level, it made the clear planning and designing targets for healing landscape and found the functional requirements, elements and regulations from recovery treatment skill. Thirdly, the research discussed from the types of healing landscapes such as external surroundings in hospital, hospice garden, recuperation landscape. It also made the adaptability research for foreign theories in China, which includes master plan, architecture design and the landscape itself.. Meantime, the characteristics, founctions and design guidelines of each type are summarized, with the case studies both at home and abroad.The innovation of this paper is that the combination of theory about Medication and Environmental Psychology with healing landscape both in theory and practice, finding some relative scientific supports for healing landscape. The applicability study of the foreign theory in China could help to find the way that healing landscape developed in China. The hospice garden could fill the blank space in Chinese landscape architecture. And the addition of recuperating landscape could give a more complete conception of healing landscape.
