At present, it is a development direction that the tonnage of marine ships is changing much more larger and electric power propeller ships have been applied practically. The electrical capacity of automatic ocean-going ship is growing larger. The capacity of a single diesel engine generator is created up to a new high level continually. Therefore it is come under the academia is paying attention to investigating the stability, reliability and security for marine power system running long time. The system modeling, analyzing of chaos and intelligent control become a worth task for researching in the field of marine power systems.It is a problem of system control engineering for the marine power systems running reliably and safely. The problem will deal with the design of marine power system, the electric power drive, the stabilization of the system, the automatic control of marine diesel engine generator sets, the parameters setting and the techniques of automation management. Marine power system is a complex system with multiple diesel engine generator sets. It has the characteristics of strong coupling, time variety, non-linearity, information imperfection and large pure lag of time. Some larger electric power loads that are relative to generator rated load often start and stop under the normal power supplying states of electric network. The dynamic processes are taken place with marine power system frequently. The range of dynamic processes oscillation is much more larger. For these reasons, some further researches have been in progress about marine power system in the dissertation. The researches include in aspects of marine power system modeling, chaotic phenomena analysis, neural network control of marine diesel generator sets. It expectes that some things will be done practically in modeling and faults analysis of marine power system, avoiding instable running in chaotic oscillation of marine power system, enhancing quality of controlling of marine diesel engine generator sets, improving quality of power system dynamic process and advancing the technique diathesis of marine engineers.The main achieved research works described in this dissertation as follows:The power systems of large marine vessel and electric power propeller ship are as researched object. A frame is put forward in generalization configuration of marine power system. Mathematics modeling and simulating are processed for marine power system. A marine power simulation system is built based on the mechanism models. The built simulation system meets some needs in aspects of project argumentation of marine power system design, control system design and performance evaluation of marine diesel engine generator, parameters setting and faults simulation analysis in certain degree.In view of complexity and non-linearity of marine power system and according to principle of energy drive and relation of generator sets torque and relation of electric parameters, for running states of two generators parallel connective operation of power system under light load in ship navigation, the system non-linearity mathematic model and autonomy system of three dimensions model have been established. After investigating parametric plots in phase space and bifurcation diagram of the system, the phenomena of chaotic oscillation of the system and characteristics of random fraction have been analized and the Lyapunov exponent chart and Lyapunov dimension of system have also been calculated.
