The automation of marine power station is an important part of whole-ship automation. The development of ship automation puts more requirement on the quality of electricity,whose standard can no longer be met by the traditional mechanical hydraulic pressure or analog speed regulator of marine diesel-engine generator system. As a result,speed regulator based on electronics and microcomputer appeared.In thesis,after doing some research on former digital speed regulator,Author proposes to develop intelligent speed regulator and introduce intelligent control theory successfully to marine diesel-engine generator system. Two intelligent speed regulator have been designed,which are similar in some aspects,but differ in the function of the intelligent degree. Fuzzy controller,whose advantages and disadvantage have been elaborated in many former literature,is the base of the present intelligent controllers. This thesis focus on:how to gain fuzzy rules,which usually come from real life experience. First controller is a rules adaptive fuzzy speed regulator,which is more advanced than conventional pure fuzzy controller or PID controller. The second controller is fuzzy-neural hybrid speed regulator,which can make full use of the fuzzy and neural network information. It can learn not only to find rules but also to change membershipA number of simulation experiments to above-mentioned intelligent controller and mathematical model of marine diesel-engine generator have been made,which include the start-up of engine,switch from single engine to parallel engine,and alter of load. The simulation results show that these two intelligent 'speed regulator are feasible and effective in many ways than traditional ones.
