ObjectiveTo study the Clinical significance of the level of serum OX40 ligand (OX40L) and C reactive protein(CRP) in patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD).MethodsThe level of OX40L was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in patients with stable angina pectoris(SAP), acute coronary syndromes(ACS),and normal control group. The level of CRP was measured by immunoturbidimetric method, and the severity of coronary artery lesion was evaluated according to coronary angiography. Results(1)The levels of OX40L and CRP were significantly higher in acute coronary syndromes(ACS) group than those in stable angina pectoris(SAP) and control groups(P<0.01).(2)The level of OX40L was positively associated with the level of CRP(r=0.780, P﹤0.01).ConclusionsThe levels of OX40 ligand and CRP are related with the CHD'severity.Serum OX40L and CRP were sensitive markers of inflammation and were helpful for assessment of the severity of disease and outcome prediction in patients with CHD. ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation of serum OX40 ligand level and severity of coronary lesion in coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) patients.Methods458 patients underwent coronary angiography were divided into 4 groups according to the number of affected blood vessels: normal control group, single vessel damage group, double and three vessels damage groups. The severity of coronary lesion was claasified by the number of affected blood vessels and the CHD Gensini cumulative index. Their level of OX40L was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Both univariate and multivariate analyses were employed.Results(1)The OX40L serum levels of the CHD patients were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.01~0.05). Univariate analysis revealed the number of affected vessels was increased along with the increasing OX40L serum level. OX40L levels were positively correlated with the severity of coronary lesion and the Gensini index (P<0.01).(2) After adjusting co-variations such as ages, hypertension and plasma HDL-C levels,OX40L levels still showed correlation with the Gensini index significantly (r=4.763,P<0.01).ConclusionsThe level of OX40L had association with the severity of angiographic coronary artery disease, which may contribute to the early diagnosis of CHD and the disease prognostic indication. ObjectiveTo investigate the genotype distribution of TNFSF4 gene polymorphism and to study the relationship between TNFSF4 rs3850641(A/G) gene polymorphisms and coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods453 subjects were include:262 coronary heart disease patients(CHD group),191 normal subjects(normal control group). All subjects were confirmed by coronary angiography, and were genotyped for the gene polymorphism of TNFSF4 rs3850641(A/G) by TaqMan real-time PCR.Results(1)Han nationality population in Chongqing had TNFSF4 rs3850641(A/G) gene polymorphisms, the frequencies of AA,AG and GG genotypes were 70.5% ,22.0% and 7.5% in CHD group while ones were 69.8%, 20.8% and 9.4% in controls.(2)There were no significant differences in frequencies of genotype and allele between controls and CHD cases(P>0.05). ConclusionsTNFSF4 rs3850641(A/G) gene polymorphisms should be independent of occurrence of CHD in Han nationality population in Chongqing.
