Section one:The Effect of Bisphenol A on proliferation of human primary cultured meningioma cells in vitroObjective:Meningioma organization for the original generation can be in vitro cell culture, the original generations to cultivate meningioma cell biology behavior and meningioma has similarities. Estrogen can promote meningioma cell proliferation in vitro. So,to study the effect of Bisphenol A on proliferation on human primary cultured meningioma cells in vitro, and explore the realationship between them. Methods:Cells from fresh meningioma organization by trypsin digestion were cultured and passaged,freeze-preserved and recovered. After identified by S-P immunohistochemistry methods, meningioma cells were cultured with different concentration (50μmol/l,100μmol/l,200μmol/l) bisphenol A, the MTT was used to to examine their proliferative activity in 24,48,72 hours, the cell cycle was examined by flow cytometry three days later. Results:The human meningioma cells were cultured successfully and identified by immunohistochemistry methods for EMA and Vimetin. After 3 days, the cell counting has no significant difference by sex. after exposure to Bisphenol A, the cell proliferation show dose and time-dependent with Active cell division, increased during s-phase and G2/M.Conclusion:Bisphenol A can increase the proportion of Meningioma cells in proliferative, promote cell proliferation with the time, dose-dependent. Section two:Research on the Relationship Between Urinary Bisphenol A Levels and the Pathongenic Factors of MeningiomaBackground and Objective Estrogen has been implicated as a risk factor for meningioma.Bisphenol-A (BPA), a widely used synthetic xenoestrogen, has already been reported to be associated with several estrogen sensitive tumors. To study the relationship between Urinary Bisphenol A Levels and Pathongenic Factors of meningioma by examining the urine bisphenol A level in meningioma patients and healthy controls.Method An exploratory association study of 243 meningioma cases and 258 frequency-matched healthy controls was conducted, using high performance liquid chromatography to detect the urine BPA concentration and to study the related risk of meningioma. The specimens and data of patients, include gender, age, race, head injury, body mass index, HRT use, BMI and family history of cancer et al,were anslysed statistically. Results 92.3% of the participate population has measurable concentrations of BPA metabolites in urine. A positive association between increasing levels of urinary BPA and meningioma was observed, independent of confounding factors such as gender, age, race, body mass index, HRT use, BMI and family history of cancer. Compared to quartile 1 (referent), the multivariate-adjusted odds ratio of meningioma associated with quartile 4 was 1.45 (95% CI 1.02-1.98)Conclusion In this case-control study, a clear association among the urinaryBPA concentrations, sex,BMI,HRT and meningioma was detected.
