The principle of MIRD and the influence factors of internal radiation dose of radionuclide therapy were first introduced in this paper. Then the quantification ability of the conjugate view method(CVM), the whole-body scan geomet(?)ic mean method(WBGM) and the tomography method have been demonstrated using phantom study. The results showed that the whole-body scan geometric mean method can give out accruate result about activity quartification.Calculation of the cumulated activity was discussed in more detail ,and a simplified method for calculation of cumulated activity was also provided. In the patient study, 153Sm-EDTMP was used to calculate the internal radiation dose of bone metastasis using the whole-body scan geometric mean method combined with the simplified method for cumulated activity calcalation(SCAC). All the results of phantom study and patient study proved that the whole-body scan geometric mean method and the simplified method of cumulated activity calculation had the advantages in gurrantee of precision and feasibility. The combination of two methods reduced the operation time, simplified the operation and data processing procedures, made the patients more comfortable, and got rid of error source from other methods.. The patient study demonstrated that the whole-body scan geomet(?)ic mean method is more suitable in calculation of internal dose for the red bone marrow, and provide an effective way in implementation of radionuclide therapy for individuals. The phenomena of "stunning effect" of...
