| Carboplatin [cis-diammine-1,1-cyclobutane dicarboxylate platinum(ll),CBDCA] is a second generation platinum coordination complex. It has a spectrum of activity that is similar to that of cisplatin and is less nephrotoxic and emetogenic in experimental animals and human. Pharmacokinetics of carboplatin was studied in 12 cancer patients receiving of combination chemotherapy consisting of CBDCA and etoposide (Vp—16,100 mg/daily x3).Carboplatin (139 to 316mg/m2) was administered without hydration and diuresis by a 30-min infusion.
