Part 1 Rabbit VX2 Liver Tumor Model Established By CT Guiding and MR Diffusion Weighted Imaging StudyObjective:To improve the establishment of rabbit VX2 liver tumor model, analysis and achieve the ADCs of hepatic elementary structure.Materials and Methods:16 New Zealand rabbits,randomly divided into two groups-control group and experiment group,each 8 rabbits.Rabbits of experiment group were inoculated to the aimed hepatic lobes with little VX2 tissue shivers in order to built rabbit VX2 liver tumor model.CT,MR T2WI,DWI was performed on all rabbit 16 days after inoculation.Each rabbit was sacrificed by injection overdose air and pathology examination was followed.Results:All rabbit VX2 liver models were successfully established by reformed transfixion pin.The achievement ratio of MR diffusion weighted imaging is 88.9%.CT: water-liked low density to bile of gallbladder;the density of VX2 tumor is lower than liver parenchyma;Statistical significance exerist among them(P<0.05).MR:T2WI, significant high signal intensity to bile of gallbladder,slightly higher and harmonious signal intensity to VX2 tumor,surrounded by a higer signal intensity strip.DWIb=50 s/mm2,the imaging character is similar to that of T2WI,but the higher signal intensity strip is wider.DWIb=600s/mm2,'lamp bulb' feature to lesions and gallbladder,and lose lesion's internal imaging details;The ADC maps of higher b value show worse signal-noise ratio.ADC map,the ADC values exist statistical significance among liver parenchyma,gallbladder bile,VX2 tumor,and its surrounding higher signal strip(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The establishment of rabbit VX2 liver tumor model accompneied with higher achievement ratio by reformed transfixson pin.(2)MR DWI sequence can provide satisfied MR DWI and ADC map;(2)MR DWI,ADC map,and quantified ADC values can offere more histopathological information on rabbit VX2 liver tumor.Part 2 Rabbit VX2 Liver Tumor with TACE:MR Diffusion Weighted Imaging AnalysisObjective:To analysis MR DWI features of rabbit VX2 liver model with transcatheter arterial embolization.Materials and Methods:Eight New Zealand rabbits were inoculated little VX2 tumor shivers into aimed hepatic lobes guided by CT in order to built rabbit VX2 liver tumor model.Each rabbits were taken CT,MR T2WI,DWI examination at 16th,22nd days to achieve the tomographic imaging features and ADC values.Each rabbits received transcatheter arterial chemoembolization at 19thday and pathologic examination was taken at 22ndday.Results:MR T2WI,significant high signal intensity to gallbladder bile no mater pre-or post-TAE;slightly higher signal intensity to VX2 lesions,which surrounded by higher signal intensity strip,and higher singnal intensity core occurred post-TAE in the lsions.DWIb=50s/mm2,the imaging character is similar to that of T2WI,but the higher signal strip is wider.DWIb=600s/mm2,'lamp bulb' feature to lesions and gallbladder,and lose lesion's more sensitive to discriminate tumor necrosis and vital portions;(2)The signal intensity of MR DWI and ADC map after transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization doesnot influced by TAE procedure;(3)MR DWI, ADC map,and quantified ADC values can offer more histological information on VX2 liver tumor histopathology.Part 3 Rabbit VX2 Liver Tumor performed TAE with EtOH-Lp:Initially Technological AnalysisObjective:To analysis the feasibility of transcatheter arterial embolization with EtOH-Lp on rabbit VX2 liver tumor model.Materials and Methods:24 New Zealand rabbits,randomly divided into control group,EADM-Lp group,and EtOH-Lp group,each group 8 rabbits.All rabbits were inoculated little VX2 tumor shievers into aimed hepatic lobes in order to built rabbit liver VX2 tumor model.At 19thday,the rabbits of experiment group were taken TAE through right femoral artery.Results:All rabbits of experiment group were successfully fullfiled TAE with EtOH-Lp or EADM-Lp.At 1st,2nd,3rdday after TAE,the accumulated survival rate of Control,EtOH-Lp,EADM-Lp group respectively is 100%,100%,75%;100%,100%, 37.5%;100%,87.5%,0.There is no significant statistic difference on accumulative mortality between Control and EADM-Lp group 3 days after TAE(P>0.05).There exists significant statistic difference on accumulative mortality between EtOH-Lp and EADM-Lp group at 2ndday or 3rdday after TAE(P<0.05),ahd the mortility of EtOH-Lp group is significantly higher than that of EADM-Lp group.Serious infarction of liver parenchyma is show on H-E tissue slices of EtOH-Lp group.Conclusion:(1)The procedures of TAE with EtOH-Lp are all successfully fullfiled with adequate disposal;(2)TAE with EADM-Lp donot influence the survival of rabbits with VX2 liver tumor in short period time(3 days)postoperation;(3)The EtOH-Lp can produce much more tissue damage than EADM-Lp.
