BackgroundVascular synthetic grafts is generally used now,but there are still problems such as thrombogenesis at early or restenosis at long-term.Lack of complete endothelial layer is one of the main reason. To endothelialization rapidly people seeded vascular synthetic gratis with EC, but it is not perfect in vivo.So vascular endothelial growthfactor(VEGF) is expected to reach this aim, which is a critical mitogenic, chemoattractant, and survival factor for endothelialCells.ObjectiveThe aim of our study was to investigate whether VEGF gene adenovirus carried by Dacron vascular grafts can be transfected to endothelial cells(ECs) and contributed to the function of it.Methods1.Prepare the Dacron carried the VEGF gene adenovirus;2.Detect the Dacron with the VEGF gene adenovirus's contribution to the secretion of t-PA protein by ECs;3.Detect the Dacron with the VEGF gene adenovirus's contribution to the secretion of PAI-1protein by ECs;4.Detect the Dacron with the VEGF gene adenovirus's contribution to the secretion of NO by ECs.ResultsThe Dacron with the VEGF gene adenovirus can promote the secretion of t-PA and NO by ECs,(P<0.05)but have no effect on secretion of PAI-1.ConclusionsThe Dacron with the VEGF gene adenovirus can transfect ECs and effect on the secretion of ECs.
