Seeking The Hope Of Mankind

As one of the fundamental moods in our life, hope has as basic meaning"longing positively towards future". Hope without a relational object would be thought to be void and meaningless. This is the first obstacle to overcome the threats of despair with a rational analysis of hope. Hope cannot and should not be substituted by its"objects". For which reason, a necessary step towards such a clarification would be"To hope itself". This should be the fundamental attitude of concerning hope.The term"Hope"could be seen as a kind of"mood", then somehow as"longing". Also, it refers to a group of family resemblance, such as"desire","expectation","wish"and"hope"in narrow sense which may be more original than the others. This"Primary Hope"begins with"the mood towards being in mood". Motivated by Curiousness, it longs for pure existence which refers to not-yet-existence, either. Primary hope has no objects (with the object of nothingness), because its objects always turn to nothing under the hoper`s intention. It thus seems to be a belief towards the world`s abundance and the hoper`s capability of intention.Hope longs for future and possibility. For that reason, it includes the possibility of"desperation", either. Desperation begins with"disappointment", which could possibly delayed by hope. Nevertheless, desperation doesn`t mean"possibly not", but entire"impossible". It directly asks for the desertion of"belief", causing people only"depend"on nothingness, but unable to"long"for that, thus leads to the only choice: abandon hope, then fall into desperation.True hope should not neglect the warnings of desperation, but shall face the challenge and weep its negative moods. People shall go beyond the specific hope and develop the new common hope, the hope of species. We will use the term of"species"in Marx`s sense, to describe not only the human being`s social attribute, but also the his self-consciousness of transcendence, including transcendence of the former capability. Simple personal relations in earlier human civilization could only be seen as"Gattungstrieb", instincts of species. Only when the species of human being are prescribed under the association between each individual in freedom, people`s gathering behavior could be seen as the expression of"Gattungswesen", the essence of species. For this reason, the hope of species should be founded on the basis of collective longings, collective production and even the common desperation, which would lead people to new life of hope.
