The Research Of Extensive Records Of Yunmen Kuangzhen Master

Extensive Records of Yunmen Kuangzhen Master(Yunmen Kuangzhen Chanshi Guanglu,also Yunmen Guanglu, Yunmenlu) is the quotations of Yunmen Master, who founded Yunmen school. The spreading process of Yunmen Guanglu is also the rheological process of Yunmenlu's version, so the first chapter discusses notes and notes collections and printed editions of Yunmenlu. The earliest form of Yunmen saying is called Zhiyilu according to literature of Conglin jiaoding qinggui zongyao. Yunmen saying were noted by Xianglin and Mingjiao, the waiters of Master Yunmen, according to Chanlin Sengbaozhuan , Linjianlu, Biyanlu. The earliest extant version (1267 )marked with Menren Mingshi Dashi Cizi Shoujian Ji(Collected by [Master Yunmen's] disciple, Recipient of the Purple[Robe] Shou Jian, [entitled] Grand Master of Clear Knowledgel) in each volume head, so the first section discusses problems related to Zhiyilu, Xianglin, Mingjiao, Shoujian etc. Yunmen Yulu based on Zhiyilu is to be added and printed constantly in history, so the second section discusses the ancient description and the existing version of Yunmenlu. Master's sayings into scripture-stored is one of best ways to preserved literature. Therefore, the third section describes Yunmenlu in various scripture-stored.Five literatures in Yunmen Guanglu which describe to Yunmen's life are important part of Yunmen Guanglu, so the second chapter describes the Yunmen's life on the basis of five literature in Yunmen Guanglu and two other literatures within the Stone inscriptions(ie. Shixingbei, Beiming). The first section describes briefly Yunmen's life according to Yunmen Xinglu (Biographical Record) and Yibiao (Testament). The second section discusses the Chan inheritances of Yunmen from Zhicheng, Muzhou and Xuefeng. The third section discusses Yunmen's pilgrimages according to Youfang Yilu(Record of Pilgrimages). The fourth section describes the start-stop period of Yunmen Statement according to Qingshu(Petition) and Yijie(Last instructions). The fifth section describes the relation between Master Yunmen and Nanhan Dynasty according to the Stone inscriptions(ie. Shixingbei, Beiming).Yunmen Guanglu is the text with most Yunmen's statements and teaching, through which Yunmen's spirit can be acquired. So the third chapter analyzes the text constitution according to three volumes Yunmen Guanglu which have been compiled in Japan Taisho 47 copies. Five parts, namely Duiji(Responses to Occasions), Shizhong Yuyao(Essence of Words from Room), Chuishi Daiyu(Statements & Substitute Answers), Kanbian(Critical Examinations), Jisong(Songs & Verse). The first section explains the definition of Duiji, and illustrates a specific process of First Statements with the 1~11 Ze in Duiji of Yunmen Guanglu. The second section explains the definition of Shizhong Yuyao, then expounds that the form of Shizhong Yuyao is composed of Jugu and Niangu in Yunmen Guanglu. The third section explains the definition of Chuishi Daiyu, then expounds that the form of Daiyu (offered in place of another) and Bieyu (offered as a different opinion) in Yunmen Guanglu. The fourth section explains the definition of Kanbian, then analyzes the characters, the content, the form of Kanbian in Yunmen Guanglu, finally compares between Yunmen's Kanbian and Suoshifa Kanbian of Tiantai School. The fifth section explains the definition of Jisong, then analyzes the Yunmen's Jisong in Zutangji and Yunmen Guanglu, finally points out the mistakes that two Jisong with Yunmen's name by mistake in Quantangshi Xushi.The Yunmen's teaching was summarized as Yunmen Sanju and Yunmen Gujianyi, which is a spiritual embodiment in Yunmen Guanglu. So the fifth chapter discusses Yunmen's teaching with Yunmen Sanju and Yunmen Gujianyi. The first section explains the naming, origin of Yunmen Sanju,then analyzes the explanatory relation between Yunmen Sanju and Five School's purpose of Chan, Banghe,Linji Sanxuan,Tizongyong of the Lotus Sutra in Tiantai School,Sanzixing in Weishi School. The second section explains the naming, origin of Yunmen Gujianyi,then analyzes the relationship between Yunmen Gujianyi and Yunmen A-word-chan and Yunmen Sanju.After Song dynasty, Yunmen School is not prosperous as before, while Yunmen Guanglu has a significant influence on later Chan Masters in different ways. So the fifth chapter illustrate the influence of Yunmen Guanglu . Koans in Yunmen Guanglu were interpreted in different periods by later in different ways, So the first section explains the interpretation style in form of Niangu, Songgu, Pingchang which has formed the system in the interpretation of koan, then Yunmen's koan in Niangu sets, Songgu sets, Pingchang sets lists. Of the most important influence is that some chan master gain the enlightment through reading Yunmenlu. So the second section give a summarization description to it.
